Mechatronics Engineering and Engineering Physics are highly specialized branches of engineering discipline and there are actually very few universities in the world that offer an advanced specialization programme in Mechatronics Engineering and Engineering Physics. However, there are a few Canadian universities that are world renowned for their Mechatronics Engineering and Engineering Physics academic programmes. These are University of Alberta, the University of British Columbia, Carleton University and the McMaster University.
A Bachelor of Science programme in Engineering Physics, i.e. BSc in Engineering Physics is available at the University of Alberta for international career aspirants in this field. This is a three year duration degree programme offered as a full time on-campus programme for overseas students. A Bachelor of engineering in engineering physics is also available at the Carleton University
The University of British Columbia offers BASc in engineering physics with honors mathematics option, Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Physics, MASc in Engineering Physics and PhD in Engineering Physics. Bachelor programmes take three years for the successful completion while a master degree takes one to two years for completion. Course duration of a Doctoral programme may be for over three years depending on the nature of the research work.
McMaster University conducts several programmes in both Mechatronics Engineering and Engineering Physics. In Mechatronics Engineering field, three bachelor degrees are available at the university. These are Bachelor of engineering in mechatronics engineering, Bachelor of engineering and society in mechatronics engineering and Bachelor of engineering and management in mechatronics engineering. In Energy Physics field all levels of courses such as bachelor, master and doctoral programmes are offered by the university and major courses available are Bachelor of engineering and management in engineering physics, Bachelor of engineering and society in engineering physics, Bachelor of engineering in engineering physics, Bachelor of engineering and society in engineering physics and international studies, M.Eng in engineering physics, M.A.Sc in engineering physics and PhD in engineering physics.
