Study Applied Economics in Australia

Applied Economics is taught as a subject in the Australian universities namely, Australian National University; Macquarie University; Victoria University; University of Adelaide; University of Western Sydney; Murdoch University and University of Canberra.

Australian National University offers one year duration Graduate Diploma in Applied Economics for overseas students at an estimated cost of AUS $17,100 a year. A Master of Applied Economics is also available at the university and cost of this programme is about AUS $22,800 for the entire course.

Macquarie University offers Postgraduate Certificate in Applied Economics, cost of which is about AUS $12,016 a year and Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Economics, cost of which is about AUS $18,024 a year. Both the courses are one year duration programmes.

Victoria University conducts Bachelor of Business (Applied Economics) at a cost of approximately AUS $8,300 per semester; Master of Business (Applied Economics) and Doctor of Philosophy (Applied Economics). Cost of master and doctoral level programmes is about AUS $10,500 per semester for overseas students.

University of Adelaide offers Graduate Diploma in Applied Economics, Master of Applied Economics and Master of Applied Economics (International). Duration of these programmes in one year and cost is approximately AUS $24,000 a year.

University of Western Sydney awards a degree, Bachelor of Business and Commerce – Applied Economics at an estimated cost of AUS $18,960 for the entire course while Murdoch University offers a one year duration Graduate Diploma in Applied Economics at an estiamted cost of AUS $19,250 a year.

University of Canberra is popular for its dual degree programmes such as Bachelor of Applied Economics/Bachelor of Advertising and Marketing Communication; Bachelor of Applied Economics/Bachelor of Laws; Bachelor of Applied Economics/Bachelor of Management and Bachelor of Applied Economics/Bachelor of Commerce. Duration of the programme is about three years and cost of the programme is about AUS $61,740 for the entire course. One year duration Graduate Diploma in Applied Economics is also available at the university. Cost of the diploma programme is about AUS $15,215 for the entire course.
