AcupunctureAcupuncture is a branch of Complimentary Medical Sciences and deals with the treatment of various medical conditions by pricking the skin with needles at critical points. Acupuncture is basically originated in China but now it has billions of followers all over the world.

Professional courses in Acupuncture mainly, Bachelor of Science Honours and Master of Science Honours programmes in acupuncture, are available in many UK universities and major among them are the University of Central Lancashire, Leeds Metropolitan University, University of Lincoln, University of Greenwich, University of East London, London South Bank University and the University of Salford.

Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Acupuncture is offered at the University of Central Lancashire, Leeds Metropolitan University, University of Lincoln, University of Greenwich and the University of East London. This is a First Degree level qualification offered as full time on-campus programme.

The University of Salford is also well known for its bachelor level courses such as Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Acupuncture in Practice and Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine with major focus in Acupuncture. These are First Degree level courses offered as full time on-campus programmes for international applicants. Duration of the degree course varies from three years to four years and course starts in September.

Master of Science Honours degree in Acupuncture is offered at the London South Bank University. This is a Master degree level course offered as full time study mode. Duration of the course varies from one to two years and course starts in September.

Candidates who wish to join a bachelor programme in Acupuncture must have successfully completed their senior secondary education, preferably in science stream and they should have an English language proficiency certificate such as IELTS or TOEFL certificate. Candidates who are having a first class bachelor degree in acupuncture or in a related subject are eligible for applying for a Master level programme.
