Rashtriya Vidyalaya College of Engineering is situated at Bangalore in Karnataka. It is counted among the premier engineering colleges in India. According to a recent survey, the college has been one of the top ten self-financing engineering colleges in the country. The engineering institute was incepted in 1963 with only three engineering streams i.e. Mechanical, Civil and Electrical.
At present, RV College of Engineering has 12 undergraduate courses and 16 postgraduate courses in various branches of engineering. All the courses of the college are affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Some of the programmes are also accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
RV College of Engineering came into existence under the umbrella of Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST). It was founded by Sri M.C. Shivananda Sharma to impart quality engineering education to the all sections of Indian Society. The educational institute is spread over an area of 52 acres and it consists of several modern amenities provided to make sure overall personality development of its students, within the campus.

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates are required to have passed 12th level of examination with the PCB subjects of science stream, recognized by a State or National level Board. The qualifying examination must have cleared by candidates with not less than 45% marks.
Selection Procedure: Candidates are short listed to BE/B Arch programmes on the basis of their ranks in COMED-K entrance test, which is conducted under the Association of Managements in Karnataka.

Eligibility Criteria: Those applicants who have possessed bachelor’s degree in relevant stream with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate can apply for these PG courses. The bachelor degree must be recognized by a statutory University or its equivalent.
Selection Procedure: Candidates are short listed for M Tech programmes through the ranks obtained by them in VTU PG Entrance Test, which is conducted by the University. However, candidates applying for MCA have to appear in PGCET entrance test. GATE test qualifiers are also given preference.
