Dentistry is a branch of medical science which deals with the treatment of the diseases and irregularities of the mouth, jaw, teeth and the surrounding supporting tissues. Orthodontics is a highly specialized branch of dentistry that is related to the treatment of the irregularities of the teeth and jaw bones.
There are several Canadian universities that offer various levels of courses in Orthodontics and Dentistry. Most reputed universities among them include the names of the University of Alberta, the University of British Columbia and the University of Manitoba. Large number of overseas students travels to these universities every year for acquiring professional qualifications in Orthodontics and Dentistry.
