Medical Education in Canadian Universities

Dalhousie University offers BSc in Medicine; Doctor of Medicine; MSc in Medical Sciences and PhD in Medical Sciences. The University of British Columbia offers Doctor of Medicine while Thompson Rivers University offers an Associate degree in science: pre-medicine program. University of Manitoba is also a major education hub for medical education in North America. The university offers BSc in medicine and Doctor of medicine programs for the medical career aspirants.

Memorial University of Newfoundland conducts programs such as PhD in medicine (community health and humanities); PhD in medicine (cardiovascular and renal sciences); Doctor of medicine; Graduate Diploma in medicine (community health and humanities); MSc (Med) in medicine (community health and humanities); MSc (Med) in medicine (applied health services research); MSc (Med) in medicine (cancer) and MD-PhD in medicine (cancer).

Specialization programs in medical surgery and surgical health care are available at the McMaster University (Graduate diploma in surgical health care research ) and the Dalhousie University (MD/MSc in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery). University of Alberta also offers specialization courses in surgery such as MSc Surgery; PhD Surgery; MSc in experimental surgery and PhD in experimental surgery. MSc in Surgery is offered at the University of British Columbia and the University of Manitoba as well.
