Environmental science is a combination of natural sciences and social sciences and it includes the subjects such as Natural Resource Management; Renewable Energy Management; Natural Resource Technology; Environmental Modelling; Environmental Health; Environmental Biology; Environmental Journalism and so on.
Plenty of career choices are available in this field for interested candidates. Hiring industries include private industries such as private sewage disposal units; waste treatment plants; mining industry, fertilizer industry; pesticide industry, food industry, and textile industry; various environmental organizations such as Environmental Science Research and Development Organizations; Environment and Wildlife Protection Groups; Animal Protection Groups; and Environmental Law Enforcement Agencies; universities and colleges and publishing houses.

Environmental Health Specialists: are responsible for the environmental safety of a particular community such as a residential community or an industrial community by assessing the environmental situation for any sort of environmental pollution or any other hazardous development.
Environmental Journalists: Major duties of environmental journalists involve writing articles and books about hazardous effects of various forms of environmental pollution such as noise pollution, water pollution, and soil pollution in order to create public awareness.
Career aspirants in this field are required to a have at least a bachelor degree in environmental science, in order to apply for various vacancies existing in the filed of environmental science. Many leading universities offer bachelor, master and doctoral level programmes in environmental science with specializations in environment management, natural resource management, environment and wildlife protection, environmental journalism etc.
