British Universities for Agriculture and Horticulture Management Education

British universities have a well established reputation as a major provider of quality education in the field of agriculture and horticulture management. Courses in agriculture management include diploma, certificate, degree, master and doctoral level courses in farm business management; rural development; land use management; animal management, dairy management and crop management while horticulture management courses include garden management, garden design management and landscape management courses.
Royal Agricultural College, a pioneer in agricultural education, provides many specialized agriculture management course such as Agriculture (Animal Management); Agriculture (Land Management); Agriculture and Farm Management; Farm Management and Rural Development at diploma, certificate, graduate, post graduate and M.Phil/PhD level. Duration of degree courses are over three years while post graduate courses is of one year duration. Doctoral degrees also take over three years to complete.
Easton College and University of the West of England are very popular for their Agriculture and Business Management courses while Harper Adams University College provides a variety of specialized agricultural management courses such as Agriculture and Crop Management B.Sc (Hons); Agriculture and Environmental Management B.Sc (Hons); Agriculture with Dairy Herd Management etc.
University of Greenwich provides courses in Horticulture Management such as Garden Management Foundation Science Programme, a three year Foundation Degree course and Landscape Management (Land Use) B.Sc (Hons) , three year duration First Degree Programme. University of East Anglia has a Landscape Design Management Foundation Science Programme. It is a three year full time Foundation Degree programme and course normally starts in September.

Writtle College provides a specialized course, Garden Design – Business Management BA (Hons), for interested candidates. Scottish Agricultural College and University of Reading also have high reputation in the field of agriculture and horticulture related course.
