The candidates need to have scored not less than 80% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the 10+2 level examination or at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics along with proficiency in English Language, from any statutory Board.
For the post graduate programme, candidates should have possessed BE / B Tech / B Sc degree with respectable and acceptable marks, from any recognized University. The final year appearing students or result awaited students are also eligible to apply for BITSAT entrance test.
Examination Pattern for BITSAT Test
Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is conducted every year at every campus of the BITS Pilani. It is an important entrance test to pursue several engineering courses at these campuses. To be short listed to UG and PG programmes of the institute, one has to clear this crucial entrance test. But, before going to prepare for this test, you have to know the examination pattern of BITSAT Test.
BITSAT test is a three-hour long entrance examination, of course, without any kind of break. The entrance test is divided into four parts i.e. Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning and Mathematics. Every question in the test belongs to the objective type in which each question carries four alternatives and the candidate has to choose the right one from them.
There will be negative marking in BITSAT entrance test as a correct answer will bring three marks, on the other hand, each wrong answer will deduct one mark as the penalty. Those questions are attempted by the candidates will not be accepted. In total, the entrance test will be carried 150 questions with division of Physics (40 questions), Chemistry (40 questions), English proficiency and logical reasoning (25 questions) and Mathematics (45 questions).
All the questions within BITSAT entrance test are required to be answered by the candidates within the given time. All the questions as well as instructions will be provided in English language only. Candidates are not allowed to bring their personal belongings at the test centre. Any kind of violation may lead towards the cancellation of the test of the candidates.
